Primary School no 91 "Orlat Lwowskich"

 

Primary School no 91 "Orlat Lwowskich" is situated in one of the most beautiful cities of Poland - Wroclaw, in the south of Poland. It's a big school with a number of 650 students and above 68 teachers. The students attending the school are in the age of 6-14, so the whole school is divided in two parts: for younger (Year 1-3) and older students (Year 4-8). The school is in the fifth place in the ranking of primary schools and the third place in the mass schools in Wroclaw, considering the results of the Final Exam for students of Primary Schools in Wroclaw. Most students learn typical subjects but there are also fencing and taekwondo classes. In recent years, students of sport classes have been spectacularly successful in national competitions also in these areas. In addition, there is a chess club on the school grounds, whose pupils regularly get places on the podium during the nationwide chess competition. The school cooperates with various institutions and organizations for the benefit of students and the local community. Together with the Center for Creative Activities "Swiatowid", the parish of Saint Faustina, the Scouts, the Council of Biskupin and the Municipal Guard, every year it organizes a festival for students and the local community. The school also cooperates with the Wroclaw University of Technology and Science, the University of Wroclaw, the University of Nature, the International Foundation for the Protection of the Odra River, the Ecocenter, the Center for Children and Youth Blind. Pupils and parents supported and motivated by teachers take part in many charitable actions for the Home of the Single Mother, Children's Home, Hospice for Children, Animal Shelters and foundations dealing with wild animals. All these activities are aimed not only at enhancing students' skills and talents, but also at developing their sensitivity and tolerance and implementing European values.
